Septic Tank Installation
Maison Bretagne organised the septic tank installation seen here in parallel with interior renovations we were carrying out on the main property which was a Burgundian Manoir in the heart of the Morvan forest. We collaborated with a fully registered and insured artisan who knew the terrain in the area, carried out all the relevant soil testing and had up to date knowledge of the regulations required by SPANC
We made sure that all the correct documentation was submitted and that onsite meetings were held with a representative from the local SPANC office together with the Groundworks company This proved to take time and careful co-ordination with all those involved, particularly considering the protected area the house was situated, in the beautiful Morvan forest in the heart of Burgundy not far from Beaune.
Only when the plans for the Septic tank were approved did we then proceed with the works required to update the whole drainage and waste system of the manoir. As you can see from the photos a soakaway was required to be dug out in the garden away from the tank itself to allow the waste water coming from the house to be cleaned and distributed in the earth. In this case it was possible to install such a soakaway, however, there are other options available for those homeowners with smaller parcels of land.
Once the septic tank was inset the plumbing work between it and the main house was carried out and the landscaping of the area disturbed by the groundworks was undertaken – You can see this part of the project by clicking this link here
