Repointing stonework of a country home in Brittany
This beautiful property was in need of a little TLC. Maison Bretagne’s services were engaged to repoint the stonework and build a boundary wall separating the gite from the main property. The stone was all locally sourced by our team and the boundary wall was carefully constructed and pointed to match the existing property.
As the photos illustrate the wall was far from conventional and the client wanted curved lines to complement the landscape around the house. This made for a challenging project but our team were successful in completing the job to match the clients initial illustrations. Upon completing the stone walling around the property boundary, gravel was evenly distributed between the house and wall to create a pleasant courtyard area.
