WHAT IS Maison et Objet?

Maison et Objet is an interior design and homewares trade fair. Held twice every year, in January and September, at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre. M&O brings together exhibitors from all over the world and is a veritable melting pot of innovative and talented ideas. Trends in interiors and homewares for the future year ahead are also presented which offer a great resource for any interior architect, interior designer or homewares shop owner alike.

WHY WE GO to Maison et Objet:

We go to M&O each year so we can keep informed of the latest developments in interior design trends and also find new and exciting homeware products and accessories to offer to our clients. This exhibition is a great way for us to make industry connections and maintain the relevance of Maison Bretagne in the interiors sector.

We have sourced products for previous projects, such as in Crozon, from Maison et Objet. The suspended handmade ceramic light fittings, which were installed above the kitchen island, for example, were from the supplier NEXEL, whose stand we first discovered in 2021.

We also sourced the exterior lighting fixtures which were installed on the new extension on the same project, built by Maison Bretagne Renovations from another supplier, ANDROMEDA, whom we discovered at the M&O trade fair. This supplier is based in Mykanos Greece, and they manufacture exterior lighting adapted for coastal properties that experience a high level of saltwater erosion, therefore a perfect fit for our Crozon project, situated on the beautiful coast of Finistere, Brittany.

USEFUL TIPS: Planning on going to the Expo?

If you plan to go to Maison & Objet, firstly you will need to prove you are a retailer, interior designer / architect or a student of design. It’s a good idea to buy your ticket in advance as the early bird offer on the M&O website provides a good discount if you book early. Also remember to print your ticket in advance to avoid the queues when you arrive at the exhibition centre.

The Halls at the Paris Nord, Villepinte expo centre are immense and therefore we also suggest making a plan of which suppliers / stands you would most like to visit in advance, an entire day passes quickly and you don’t want to miss the best bits! There are also presentations and lectures that you can attend around the latest industry developments and trends which can easily eat into a couple of hours of the day
