Based in the medieval city of Dinan, near the north east coast of Brittany, Maison Bretagne is made up of a team of home renovation experts, including a qualified interior architect, interior designer, two full time experienced onsite artisans and a general builder with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. This complementary mix of skills within Maison Bretagne enables our team to provide a complete A-Z home renovation service to our clients and consistently deliver projects to the highest standards.
We work tirelessly to determine the aspirations of each of our clients in the early stages of a project, no matter how small, beginning with a comprehensive onsite visit, a free quotation and the creation of detailed plans for efficient spacial planning if needed.

The design talent
The design talent. Abi is a BA (hons) qualified interior architect and interior designer, having studied in both France and the U.K. She is completely bilingual, having been raised and educated for most of her life in France. A whizz on CAD Abi is able to help clients projects come to life through 3D visuals and produces meticulous scaled drawings for the artisans onsite to follow.
The dynamo. Liam is the youngest, most dynamic and extrovert member of the team.
A born and bred Malouin, Liam has been with Maison Bretagne for 18 months and
always brings a big smile and bags of charm to any job.
The goal of our interiors team is to turn the clients thoughts, wants and needs into a more tangible, visual design, making sure there is no stone left unturned and the coherence of a renovation project is achieved throughout all stages of works. We also ensure larger scale projects have a full schedule to give a clear idea of timeframes from the outset and our in-house team can provide a full interior sourcing service.
Onsite, we have a strong, full time team of three artisans, all with complementary skills, from carpentry and joinery to roofing, masonry, insulation and plaster boarding. In our opinion attention to detail is key, particularly in the final interior stages, and for this reason we have a strong network of sub-contractors such as plasterers, tilers and decorators as well as qualified and fully insured electricians and plumbers. We have built up this trusted external team over many years to ensure that the standards and quality of work Maison Bretagne is known for is consistently achieved. You don’t just have to take our work for it, check out our News page to read all about the regular sub-contractors we use.
The Maison Bretagne office
Our in-house team is based in the medieval town of Dinan. Having lived and worked in this region for over 10 years we have established a solid client portfolio and strong ties to local suppliers and sub-contractors. This feet on the ground knowledge is invaluable and enables us to plan and carry out projects efficiently; and these local links, together with our qualified and bilingual team, form the core strengths of our renovations business. Our team, in turn passes this local knowledge and confidence onto our clients to create a trusting and professional working relationship.
Just as importantly, Maison Bretagne, has built relationships with the local authorities, such as Dinan Agglomeration and the various Mairies in the area, as well as the general governing body of the ‘Batiment de France’. Our in-house planning department is aware of the specific demands concerning the protocols expected when making planning applications and this means that they are usually accepted in the quickest time. Check our Design page to find out more about the services we offer, or our News page to read about the process entailed in applying for a planning.
