Coastal 1960s Home Renovation & Two-Storey Extension in Crozon
House Extension, Interior Refurbishment, Garage Conversion & Landscaping Near Dinan Plage
This Maison Bretagne project involved the transformation of a 1960s coastal home in Crozon, close to Dinan Plage. The works included a new two-storey extension, a bright and practical porch, a boot room addition, garage conversion, bathroom refurbishments, full interior repainting, new lighting and external landscaping.
The objective was to modernise the existing property while creating additional living space, improving functionality and making the home better suited to coastal family life.
The Brief
The clients wanted to update and extend their 1960s property to create a brighter, more practical and comfortable home by the sea.
The project needed to provide flexible additional space, improve the connection between the house, garden and coastal views, and create practical areas for everyday living after time spent outdoors or at the beach.
The scope included:
- two-storey house extension;
- 40m² ground-floor office / lounge area;
- 20m² first-floor master suite with en-suite shower room;
- underfloor electric heating to the new ground-floor extension;
- French doors opening towards Dinan Plage and the landscaped garden;
- bright and airy porch;
- 10m² boot room addition to the existing garage;
- garage conversion into a utility area;
- refurbishment of the two main bathrooms;
- full interior repainting of the existing house;
- new lighting throughout;
- front garden landscaping;
- roadside drainage improvements;
- gravelled parking area;
- new stone-clad boundary wall with timber fencing above.
