Roof Replacement & Structural Roof Repairs in Northern Brittany
Main Residence and Adjacent Outbuilding Roof Renovation
Maison Bretagne was appointed to carry out essential roof replacement and roof repair works to a main residence and smaller adjacent outbuilding in northern Brittany.
The roof of the main property was in significant disrepair and had begun allowing water ingress into the interior of the house, causing damage and putting the fabric of the building at risk. The adjoining outbuilding also required attention, with roof carpentry issues and water ingress affecting a neighbouring property where the buildings connected.
The objective was to make both roofs safe, watertight and structurally sound, while restoring the properties to a secure and reliable condition.
The Brief
The clients required urgent and professional roof renovation works to protect the main house and outbuilding from further damage.
The scope included:
- full roof replacement to the main residence;
- repair and treatment of existing roof timbers;
- roof carpentry repairs to the adjacent outbuilding;
- works to address water ingress affecting the neighbouring property;
- installation of new roof battens and lattes;
- complete new roof covering;
- use of high-grade Spanish slate;
- restoration of the buildings to a safe, watertight condition.
