Château Gîte Renovation & Interior Refurbishment in Normandy

The Brief

The clients wanted to bring the gîte up to a standard more in keeping with the Château and its grounds.

Although the property had rural charm, the interior no longer met the expectations of modern holidaymakers. The kitchen, which formed the heart of the gîte, had not been updated for several decades and required complete redesign. The property also needed new electrics and plumbing to support the upgraded layout and facilities.

The scope included:

The Renovation

Maison Bretagne began by focusing on the kitchen, as this was the central space within the property and one of the areas most in need of improvement.

The old kitchen was removed and the space was redesigned to create a more practical, attractive and welcoming environment for guests. As part of the wider renovation, new electrics and plumbing were installed, allowing the property to support modern appliances, improved functionality and a better overall guest experience.

The interiors were then updated to give the gîte a more contemporary edge while retaining the warmth and charm expected from a rural holiday cottage in a Château setting.

Interior Design Approach
